Discovery Channel Refresh

We recently refreshed the on-air identity for Discovery Channel.

It’s an evolution of the work we did 2 years ago when we introduced the new logo. We are lucky to work with a brand which is largely defined by the quality and uniqueness of its content. The concept behind this work is to create a stronger association between the branding and the content, by placing iconic Discovery moments literally in the globe at the heart of the logo.

The work is the result of a collaboration between us, Double G Studios and Dixon Baxi – 3 of the 4 teams who pitched for the work.


Discovery History launch

Discovery History brings you a broad range of presenter led programming from expert and amateur contributors who will provide new insights on important periods of history.
Engaging and enthusiastic story-tellers fire the imagination with revelations from the past – things that you didn’t know about well known events. This Campaign shows 3 of our storytellers deliver this simple proposition in their own words.

Promax Nominations

We are very proud to have clocked up 14 nominations for this year’s Promax UK Awards. Covering both our Factual and Lifestyle & Entertainment channels; two nominations for Best Editor and Best Newcomer go to Ceri Payne and Callum Parish respectively, and a PR nomination for the launch event promoting Stephen Hawking’s Universe. We’re really hoping to turn these into awards at Friday’s ceremony.

Our design team also designed and created the titles and marketing materials for the event. Big cheers for Matt, Phil and Callum.



Taking the Silver Award in the BDA World Category for Best Logo and a Bronze in BDA World Best Network Design. Turbo is the channel for motor heads, literally the people who can name that car, helicopter, stream train or lawn mower blindfolded, and this whole identity is dedicated to them.


The Mixed up world of DMAX

How do you launch a factual-entertainment channel to 16-34 year olds? Well, you certainly don’t do it with the word ‘documentary’ so we briefed in the opposite of ‘factual’ being true to our programming and staying (just on) the right side of wrong: factual-entertainment with balls.
